How to Turn
Dinosaurs into Crocodiles
Matthew Lamanna,
University of Pennsylvania
Matt is a doctoral candidate in dinosaur
paleontology studying under Dr. Peter Dodson at the Department of Earth and
Environmental Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania. In this talk and slide show Matt will
address the question of the occurrence of ornithischian ("bird-hipped") dinosaurs of the
latest Cretaceous period on the African continent. This study evolved out of
research on a misidentified humerus discovered in the Egyptian Geological
Museum in Cairo during the 2000 expedition of the Bahariya Dinosaur Project.
